Closing the Financial Gap in the Distribution Business at EDL

The project responds to major needs in electricity distribution and customer services: the Collection, Management and Metering services (CMM); and the Re-engineering of the Distribution Services. The project is being implemented in two phases: a comprehensive due diligence, and a complete bidding process. The first project track defines a fast implementation strategy to create a self-financed enterprise advanced metering system with a service contract agreement for billing and collection services. The second track focuses on the re-engineering of the distribution services to propose a structure based on the Asset Owner / Asset Operator Business model. The project will lead to the outsourcing of CMM and distribution services to a number of Service Providers.
